Families registering in Children's Ministry can utilise the chart to see what service will be required under our Children's Co-Op program. Look through the descriptions on the following pages as well to see what role might be a good fit for you!

Children's Ministry Roles and Positions

We look forward to helping you find your 'unique fit' in Children's Ministry! We believe everyone has different gifts and talents that we're called to use as we serve at ECC. (Romans 12:4-8)

CHILDCARE PROVIDERS and CLASSROOM POSITIONS

Teenie Tots Nursery and Toddler Assistants

Help greet parents and sign in babies and toddlers as they arrive. Provide childcare in a safe and loving place for babies and toddlers. Implement basic sanitation and clean up procedures in the nursery or toddler rooms. In toddler room, assist the teacher with story time and lesson or crafts and snack.

*Teens are not able to serve in ECC Infant Nursery. Must be 15 to serve in Toddler Nursery or serve with a parent.

Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month

Little Lambs Assistants

You'll have fun supporting the lesson of the day through a variety of fun learning and even some small group activities while helping to provide a safe and loving learning environment for students. You'll help welcome and release children securely to the appropriate parent and help implement basic set up and clean up procedures.

Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month

Little Lambs Teachers (Ages 3-6)

Has the spiritual gifts of teaching, leadership and/or creative communications. This person is a faith developer in children by teaching biblical concepts and leading up front activities. He or she should be fairly comfortable in an upfront role, energetic and able to lead a medium sized group of children and helpers. Detailed description available and interview required.

Time Commitment: 2(+) services per month

Kingdom Kids Presenter/Teachers (Ages 7-11)

Has the spiritual gifts of teaching, leadership and/or creative communications. This person is a faith developer in children by teaching biblical concepts and leading up front activities. Drama or Music Team Members

Help develop a child's faith by acting out simple skits, puppets or walk-on stage activities. Scripts and puppets are provided in conjunction with our curriculum. Like music? Lead a few songs live, with CDs or music DVDs. Our kids love music and drama. Interview required.

Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month

Set Up/Break Down Team

Are you someone who wakes up early on Friday mornings? Do you mind staying after the service? This team needs people who can help make sure our classrooms are ready to go each week! They would arrive at 7 am.

Greeter/Check-In Team

Help greet children and their families as they arrive at the Check-In Station. Help register and check-in children, hand out any newsletters, flyers and updates. They are available to answer questions before and during service transition times.

Time Commitment: check-in times during 1-2 services per month

Guardian

Help greet children and their families as they arrive at the Check-In Station. Help maintain safety policy of ECC Children's Ministry.

Mother's Nursery/Family Room/Activity Room Supervisors

Sometimes Fridays can be tough. Whether families are running a little late or having a little one crying, we want to have a space for everyone. Serve as a room supervisor for our parent room (Nursery 2) to ensure that families using the room are abiding by the rules in place. Or serve as an activity room supervisor to ensure that children who are late still have a place they can attend.

Time Commitment: 1 service per month

"I Can" Partners

Individuals who will support Children's Ministry by being on an "I Can" list. Being 'on call' or on our standby list as a substitute once or twice a month will help keep our classrooms well-staffed, open and SAFE.

Special Events Team

Have fun organizing children's outreach events and activities for children and their families. This is a great way to help build biblical community. For example, planning and serving at various events, holiday parties, family picnics, etc. Serving on the Special EVents Team is not a regular volunteer role and requires a special interest meeting with the Director.

Office/Administrative and Preparation Team

Help with the weekly tasks of organizing children's programs, events and activities for children and the programs we offer. This is a great way to be involved in Children's Ministry behind the scenes especially if you have limitations which might prevent you from serving on a Friday morning. This role has numerous possibilities from sending emails, being responsible for social media postings, photography or even cutting out materials in preparation for the week's lesson.
